Even before the Vengaboys caused a sensation in the pop mainstream, the two beat makers Dennis van den Driesschen and Wessel van Diepen performed as a DJ duo under the name from the early to mid-1990s. The transformation into a Eurodance band took place in 1996, when three female singers joined the project: Kim Sasabone, Olivia Ovington and Rachel Carpenter, who immediately entered the Dutch singles charts at number 14 with "Parada de Tettas" (1997).
