English pop singer Tom Grennan was born in Bedford on June 8, 1995. He started out with aspirations to play professional football. He was talented enough to be selected to play for Luton Town and at one stage attracted interest from Aston Villa. Football's loss became the music industry's gain when he turned his back on the game after being encouraged by friends to pursue a career in music.
