TOKIO
Tokio are a J-pop and rock band formed in Tokyo in 1989 by singer-guitarist
Shigeru Joshima and singer-bassist Tatsuya Yamaguchi. They were joined in 1990
by singer-guitarist Hiromu Kojima, keyboard player Taichi Kokubun and drummer
Masahiro Matsuoka and in 1994 by singer-guitarist Tomoya Nagase. Their first
single 'Love You Only' went to number three on Japan's Oricon Singles Chart and
their eponymous debut album the same year reached number eight on the Oricon
Albums Chart.
Subsequent albums all made the top ten including 'Bad Boys Bound', 'Glider',
'Act II' and 'Harvest' ...
