The Panhandlers are a country supergroup hailing from Texas. Formed in Austin in
2016, the band consists of prominent alternative country singers and musicians
Josh Abbott, John Baumann, William Clark Green and Cleto Cordero, all Texas
natives. Glorifying the eastern part of the state and specifically the town of
Lubbock, where the band is based, The Panhandlers are inspired by the legendary
Flatlanders, who since the 1970s have included Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and
