With the demise of the Seattle grunge movement, the narcotic, psychedelic, garage pop of underground heroes The Dandy Warhols and the Brian Jonestown Massacre were earmarked as the next big thing in the mid-1990s. As chronicled in the celebrated documentary Dig!, they went on to international recognition and major-label success while their touring partners descended into chaos and obscurity.
