A sassy, urban girl group that stormed the US charts in the early 1990s, SWV
(Sisters With Voices) swaggered with the cool of the New Jack Swing scene and
helped pave the way for the likes of Destiny's Child. Formed by three Brooklyn
friends Coko Clemons, Taj Johnson-George and Lelee Lyons, the girls grew up
singing in church choirs before sending out demo tracks to every label they
could think of and being signed up by RCA to an eight album deal. Under the
