Michigan based soul sensation Ready For The World had a string of hits in the mid 1980s masterminded by music industry guru and management specialist Steven Machat. Machat steered the band to a brace of number ones, the song Sheila released in 1985 followed up by Love You Down in 1986. Shiela was a crossover hit simultaneously topping three Billboard charts and was also a hit across Europe.
