Monocordio, the musical project of Mexican writer and musician Fernando Rivera
Calderón, emerged in 2001 as an intimate exploration of life's emotions through
poetic lyrics and distinctive pop-rock arrangements. Their self-titled debut
album, m0n0c0rd10 (2002), introduced songs like "Amar Es Combatir," which
featured in the film Así del Precipicio (2006). The follow-up album, La Hora del
Tiempo (2005), produced by Sr. González, included the title track that became
the theme for Canal Once's series Fonda Susilla. In 2006, Monocordio released
