Signed to BMG Ariola ahead of her first release, Argentinian singer-songwriter and guitarist Marcela Morelo (born on December 13th, 1969 in Lanús) was teed up for stardom from the outset of her career. The Spanish-language hitmaker shifted over 100,000 copies of her 1997 debut album, Manantial, which also included international chart smashes in the form of the singles “La fuerza del engaño” and “Corazón salvaje”.
