Lesti is the alias of Lestiani Andryani, an award-winning Sudanese
singer/songwriter who performs a modernized, pop-influenced version of dangdut
music. Born on August 5, 1999, in the Indonesian capital of Bandung, West Java,
she began singing publicly at 8 years old and appeared on the Indonesian TV
competition D'Academy as a young teenager, ultimately winning the show's first
season in 2014. At the time, Lesti was only 14 years old. Her debut single,
