Ketil Jansen and Ulrik Denizou Lund met in the Norwegian town of Lillehammer, made as famous by the 1994 Winter Olympics as by the Lillyhammer series starring Steven Van Zandt. Rather than winter sports, the two artists, who formed Lemaitre in 2010, are infatuated with electro-pop. The French-sounding name is far from coincidental, as both members have a particular affinity for the French touch school.
