José Madero is a Mexican rock singer who rose to fame as the frontman of the band Panda. He was born in the municipality of San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León where as a teenager he would listen to punk rock and grunge before eventually forming his own group in 1996 called 'The Purgatory'. The band were heavily influenced by artists such as Alice in Chains and underwent numerous lineup changes during their first year before eventually emerging as Panda.
