Jeffrey Lewis is a New York singer, guitarist and cartoonist who belongs to the
anti-folk genre, a cross between lo-fi folk-rock and the "do it yourself" spirit
of American punk. Since the release of The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane in
2001, all his albums have been published by Rough Trade. His music and graphic
creations, packed with references to English-language popular culture,
complement and respond to each other, as in'Em Are I (2009) and the recent A
Turn in the Dream-Songs, released in 2011.
