Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine was born on July 21, 1948 in Dole, Jura (France), into a
family of six children. After passing his baccalauréat and studying law and
psychology in Besançon (Doubs), he decided to move to Paris, where he tried his
hand at becoming a singer. He performed in small theaters and cabarets. But he
didn't really launch his solo career until 1978, with a debut album entitled
Tout Corps Vivant Branché sur le Secteur Étant Appelé à S'émouvoir, followed by
two albums released in 1979 and 1980: Autorisation de Délirer and De l'Amour, de
