A renowned composer, arranger, saxophonist and pianist, Gerry Mulligan's golden era was undoubtedly the early 1950s. Mulligan had formed a piano-less quartet with Bob Whitlock on bass, Chico Hamilton on drums and the legendary Chet Baker on trumpet.
