The British R&B girl group FLO was formed in London, England, in 2019 by
vocalists Stella Quaresma, Jorja Douglas, and Renée Downer. Quaresma and Downer
had met each other while studying at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and later
invited Downer to join the project after watching her singing videos on social
media. The group signed to Island Records in 2022 and released their
MNEK-produced debut single "Cardboard Box" later that year, reaching Number 76
