Formed in San Diego, California in 1985, Fattburger was a jazz-funk and fusion band formed by Hollis Gentry (saxophone), Carl Evans Jr. (keyboards), Mark Hunter (bass), Steve Laury (guitar) and Kevin Koch (drums). Percussionist Tommy Aros was recruited as an auxiliary band member. Fattburger released their debut album, One of a Kind, in 1986 and received substantial airplay on jazz-oriented radio stations. Gentry left Fattburger before the band recorded their second album, Good News, in 1987. This album proved to be their commercial breakthrough, earning the band a sizable follow...
