Dave Stewart had already been in various bands - notably folk-rockers Longdancer - when he met Annie Lennox. They formed punk band Catch before becoming The Tourists, charting with a cover of Dusty Springfield's 'I Only Want to Be With You'. Major success came after they changed their name to Eurythmics and became a duo, concentrating on original music.
