Ellen Allien
An innovative and influential DJ and producer, Ellen Allien's music and style is
indelibly associated with the Berlin techno scene. Indeed, her debut album
'Stadtkind' in 2001 was dedicated to Berlin, her home city, citing the
reunification of east and west Germany as one of her main inspirations. Yet it
was while she was living in London in 1989 that she first became consumed by the
acid house music phenomenon of the time.
