From "spaghetti house" to the mainstream charts: that's Eiffel 65! In 1999, the Turin-based production company Bliss Corporation (led by producer/manager Massimo Gabutti) motivated three of its DJs - singer Jeffrey Jey, keyboardist Maurizio Lobina and DJ Gabry Ponte - to found Eiffel 65. The group, whose name was randomly generated by a computer, landed a worldwide hit in 1999 with "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" - the song made it to number 1 and stayed in the German charts for 29 weeks - and immediately followed it up with another hit, "Move your Body".
