Derrick Morgan began his career in 1957 and became Jamaica's most popular ska artist in 1960, with a string of hits including "Don't Call Me Daddy " and "In My Heart". From 1965 onwards, he was a forerunner of rocksteady, with tracks like "Tougher Than Tough" and "Conquering Ruler".
