Banda Pelillos
Banda Pelillos, formed in 1987 in Buenavista de Cañedo, Jalisco, quickly became
a major force in the duranguense and quebradita movements. Originally a group of
young musicians performing at local events, they gained national recognition in
1990 after signing with Fonorama and releasing their debut album Mar de
Emociones. Their 1991 hit "La Negrita" propelled them onto the Billboard charts
and solidified their popularity in Mexico and the U.S. Throughout the 1990s,
