The synth-pop singer/songwriter Annie Hart was born in Long Island, New York,
and launched her career in nearby Brooklyn, where she co-founded the
keyboard-driven indie-pop band Au Revoir Simone in 2003. Along with bandmates
Erika Forster and Heather D'Angelo, she appeared on Au Revoir Simone's four
albums — 2005's Verses Of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation, 2007's The Bird Of
Music, 2009's Still Night, Still Light, and 2013's Move In Spectrums — all of
