Alphaville are a German synth-pop band formed in the north-western city of Münster in 1982 by vocalist Marian Gold and keyboard players Frank Martens, who left in 1984, and Bernhard Lloyd, who left in 2003. Other players have come and gone since then with Gold the sole original member in the current band with a line-up of guitarist David Goodes, keyboardist Carsten Brocker, bassist Alexandra Merl and drummer Jakob Kiersch. Their debut single 'Big in Japan' topped Billboard's Dance Club Songs Chart in 1984 and reached number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100. They made their debut album...
